Workshops

UCR offers workshops and trainings for people citizens, business people and professionals to help them learn how to be better stewards of our river.

• Learn how to be a citizen watchdog by attending a Get the Dirt Out workshop and combat the problem of stormwater runoff from construction sites, a major threat to the health of our rivers, lakes and streams. The Get the Dirt Out workshop is a two-hour presentation where you will learn how to spot erosion and sediment control violations and how to report them. • Learn about the underlying causes of north Georgia's water crisis and find out about practical, effective solutions to our water supply needs through the 15 minutes PowerPoint presentation Tapped Out: The Drying Up of Atlanta.

• UCR's Technical Programs Director, Jason Ulseth, teaches Continuing Education Courses for Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission (GSWCC) Re-Certification for Levels IA, IB, and II for those individuals involved in land disturbing activities in Georgia.
