UCR has a staff of eight full-time and three part-time employees in its Atlanta and Headwaters offices.  It's 5,000 members include business people, parents, government leaders, activists, students, anglers, paddlers, and others.

UCR was founded in 1994 by Laura Turner Seydel and Rutherford Seydel. Founding Director and Riverkeeper Sally Bethea continues to lead UCR n its fight to protect the Chattahoochee River, its lakes and tributaries. Its --member Board of Directors provides governance and support for UCR’s mission
